Price, value, worth, cost. ?These are all diiferent ways we might describe our jewelry. What is the value of a ring you were given on your 16th birthday or the bit of beach glass from your last trip to Greece?Arnold’s has been my jeweler for many years. ?Much of it is about TRUST if you have to leave a valuable piece, out of your sight, you must trust the shop you leave it with. Arnolds has done Jewely repair and jewelry appraisal for me many times. ?They can switch a watch battery in a flash and did you know your Diamonds should have a six month Check up, just like your teeth? ?Arnold’s does the diamond check up and cleaning for FREE!!!Over the years I have gained weight and lost weight . ?When that happens, even the fit of the jewelry must be changed. ?They do it. They treat every piece I bring in as if it were a treasured and precious piece.David, the watch maker, took on the daunting task of repairing my Father’s sixty year old Rolex, which hadn’t run in thirty years. No parts are available and with whom will you leave a Rolex?? ?Finally after a couple months and some modifications the watch is running and my Father is happy to have an old familar ?face to look at (and now he knows when to take his medicine).Bruce Arnold also has new and ?Estate Jewelry for sale. ?You never know what will be there but there are always beautiful pieces. ?This is definately a Five Star, must visit shop.
One of the best places to get your watch fixed!Brought my Rolex in to get cleaned, fixed, sized, and bracelet replaced for under $30. What a great deal! Customer service was great and with such a vast knowledge about jewelry. One of the best in Pasadena with great customer service. I was helped out as soon as I stepped into the building. They are very experience and extremely trustworthy. They service a lot of high end items and can be trusted with them. Will be coming back in the future.
It’s Worth the Drive….I don’t care where you live in Southern California, if you actually care about getting a vintage or contemporary watch repaired…..the first time… and correctly, then Arnold’s Fine Jewelry in Pasadena should be your only consideration. They have a Watchmaker on site, which is not the same as Sid, the guy down the block who may or may not have the ability to change the battery in your Seiko. Unless you want to live dangerously, and walk on the wild side, go for it. ?Did I mention that their prices are abouta third to half of what you’d pay on the Westside? They are the only ones I trust with any of my vintage watches. So, if you need to have a watch serviced, repaired or restored these are the folks to talk to. You get the kind of service that our grandparents would be familiar with; where integrity still means something. They’re located on South Lake which is not too far off of the 210 in Pasadena.
My gold chain necklace was accidentally torn apart during my last visit to the chiropractor. After doing some research on yelp (thanks yelpers!!!), I found Arnold’s in Pasadena. Parking is free for two hours in the back lot, which makes the shop very accessible. Anyway, my necklace was fixed in less than a day and THEY CHARGED ME NOTHING CZ jewelry!!! $0! They told me my necklace just needed to be reconnected and since they didn’t have to weld anything together, it was FREE!Who does anything for free nowadays?! Thank you Arnold’s!!Btw, they also sell vintage jewelry (including old watches). This shop has also been around for more than 100 years, very experienced and dependable Sterling Silver Necklaces!!
Arnold’s is located in the beige colored building in the middle of the Lake shopping center. I brought my Kenneth Cole watch in to replace the battery. 5 minutes and 7 dollars later, I find myself back on the sidewalk. Fast and friendly service rocks! Four stars.Notes: They have a dedicated watch guy Sterling Silver Bracelets, so your service depends on his lunch and break times. Also, he does not service some watch manufacturers/technology (i.e., Citizen Eco Drives), so be sure to call in and get some advice first.
Convenience? ?Check. Two hour free parking in a huge lot behind the strip mall where Arnolds is located. ?Not a commonality in Pasadena at all.Friendly staff? ?Check.Even though all the staff were engaged with customers, I still got a warm greeting and received attention about 2 minutes later.Competent service? ?Check.I needed a replacement pin on my Rolex watch but was a bit nervous to take it just anywhere. ?The on-site repairman not only took care of it within 5 minutes, but he came out to explain what he did, but educatde me on the types of pins typically used and what he could do to further service my watch down the road (with ZERO pressure to do so, might I add).Above and beyond? ?Double check! Not did all of the above make for a pleasant experience and a repaired watch, I wasn’t charged a single penny. ?Since it was such an easy fix and very commonplace, the repairman told me no charge.I will absolutely be visiting this shop again in the future and highly recommend it to all.
Arnold’s is great. ?Whenever I need a piece of jewelry fixed, sized, polished, etc. they always do a fantastic job for a reasonable price. ?Everyone who works there is super-friendly and totally willing to answer all sorts of dumb questions. ?For example, Grandma thinks that she is dying and so she is giving away all of her worldly possessions. ?She gave me her watch. ?It was stopped. ?I took it to Arnold’s and they, without laughing in my face, showed me how to wind the watch. ?Then, they advised me that the watch was not water resistant and that water could get into the watch and ruin it. ?And, if I do get it wet, I need to bring it to them right away so they can save it. ?Great, Grandma gave me a gremlin watch!
I came in to have the strap replaced on a used watch I just bought. ?Someone very friendly came immediately to help me and presented me with a selection of appropriate straps. ?The prices were posted on the straps, so it made it very easy to make a choice. ?The woman helping me put the strap on my watch and swapped out the buckle on the strap to match the color of the case of my watch at no cost. ?I paid with my credit card and was on my way.Quick, friendly, had what I needed — what else needs to be said?Oh, I didn’t use their parking lot because I had already parked for something else and walked up to the jewelry shop. ?But, from what I saw, there is plenty of metered parking close by and a mall across the street.
I went here to replace some watch batteries and was really happy with the service. I brought 3 watches (2 of which were unable to be changed by other jewelers) and dropped them off while I went across the hall to look at the used DVDs. After a few uninspired minutes, I figured I should ask how long it would take, to see if I had time to grab a coffee instead. Naturally, they were already done. 7 bucks each. Park in the back – it won’t take long at all. And very friendly salespeople.
Great place with Friendly staff and cheap prices.I took two watches in for repair. The staff were kind and courteous and called me when they were ready. Will definitely be going back there
One of the tiny micro-pave’d stones fell out of the band of my engagement ring, so I took it to Arnold’s. ?I have also taken rings there for sizing, fitting, and general maintenance. ?Service is always friendly, prices are fair, and the repairs are more than competently done. ?Parking is free and convenient, in the parking lot behind the store.
We purchased our wedding rings 30+ years ago from Arnolds. ?Mr. Arnold designed the ring, and it is truly beautiful. ?To this day I really enjoy wearing it because it is unusual. ?I still even get compliments.Over the years I have gone in regularly to have the ring checked, cleaned and sometimes repairs. ?People are always friendly, helpful, efficient and the work is done well. ?They have some truly beautiful jewelry and also consignment items. ?I highly recommend this jewelry store.
Just wanted to say thanks for putting my watchband back on my watch, no charge. I appreciate small business for doing the little things.
the owner, mr. arnold, helped me and he was a kind grandfatherly figure and such a polite gentleman. ?i felt like i was transported back to the old english days when people were so courteous and regal. ?the service was wonderful and i got a new battery on my watch in less than 5 minutes for $8.
Bruce, the owner, has the attitude where he believes he can act and say whatever he wants without realizing that people have a CHOICE of who they can go to. He was completely disrespectful and thinks because he’s been around forever he can treat people rudely. I would NOT recommend him to people if they are truly looking for good customer service.
